What is a Travel Trust?

A travel trust provides customers with 100% financial protection in the event that the company operating the tour/ holiday or supplier goes into financial failure. This is a standard way that travel companies protect customers monies and comply with the UK government’s Package Travel Regulations. This is done by protecting the customers monies in a separate trust account that is operated by independent trustees and not the company offering the tour/ holiday.

A travel company uses an external company that specialises in providing travel trusts to run this on behalf of their customers.
