On our tour of Ireland, we take in the heritage, we visit traditional Irish pubs that are a large part of what makes this wonderful hospitable country and the ‘craic’ that is so well known for. A pub in Ireland is a meeting place, it exudes warmth and laughter, local people come together to share joyous stories. One such place that we include on the itinerary is the iconic Gus O’Connor’s pub, Doolin. Here you can experience this wonderful atmosphere and dine on one of Ireland’s delights, Beef Stew. Often you will see and hear a ‘trad session’ or ‘music session’. These sessions are informal gatherings of musicians who play traditional Irish music, often spontaneously, with instruments like fiddles, tin whistles, and bodhráns. It creates a lively, communal and welcoming environment that encourages interaction, storytelling and true connection to Irish culture.
